Discover 5 Things To Do In Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas is one of those places that everyone should visit before they die. There is so much to do, not only in Vegas itself but also the surrounding area. Everyone who visits usually stays in one of the casino hotels, so that side of the city is unavoidable, but there are a number of hidden gems that most visitors miss. With so much competition in this city you can find a lot of bargains when looking for somewhere to stay, with some of the hotel casinos only charging around $20 a night. Although the list of things to do in Las Vegas can go into the hundreds, below you will find some of the best ones.

Red Rock Canyon

If you have hired a car then Red Rock Canyon is only about a 30 minute drive outside Las Vegas, otherwise ask your hotel to arrange a trip for you. The scenery in this canyon is amazing, and the rock colors cover shades from yellow to red, and black to light gray, making a great contrast on a day with clear blue skies. There are many walks in this area, but make sure you take some food and water, especially if it is mid-afternoon. Be prepared to spend at least half a day, although the location is so beautiful and peaceful you may wish to spend the whole day there.

Regardless of where you are staying in Las Vegas you must visit the Venetian. The inside is amazing and they have constructed the shops and canals as they are in Venice, it is a great place for those romantic moments.

The Bellagio Fountains

These are well-known through the world and are impressive enough during the daytime, but for that extra bit of beauty then make sure you see them at night when they are lit up in various colors. You will be completely mesmerized by this fountain show.

Hoover Dam

There are a lot of trips going to the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead so ask at the hotel reception and they will arrange it for you. This structure is an amazing piece of human engineering, and standing on it looking down towards the bottom is quite staggering and may even make you feel a little queasy. Lake Mead is also an interesting place, and is a massive man-made lake.

Stratosphere

Enjoy A Gondola At The Venetian

This hotel has been around for a while but for the ultimate photo shots of Vegas you have to go to the top of the tower, it also has a fantastic restaurant, but for that little bit of strange, it has some rides available, one of which tips you over the edge of the tower. Then there is the new Stratosphere SkyJump which means you can jump off the tower and fall towards The Strip in a controlled decent, and that has to be one of the most exhilarating experiences you will ever have in your life.

May you found it enjoyable  :)

How to Choose a Cruise Ship For A Great Cruise Vacation .

How to Choose a Cruise Ship For A Great Cruise Vacation .
Royal Caribbean

Are you thinking about taking your very first cruise? If you are, you are in for a real treat! In my opinion there is nothing greater than getting away from the cold Midwest for a week each winter and sailing through the warm Caribbean. But an important part of your vacation planning is choosing the right cruise ship.

Does it really matter which cruise ship you choose? Maybe yes and maybe no. Since this is your first cruise you have nothing to compare it with, so it will probably be a great experience for you no matter which ship you select.

Our first cruise was on the Nordic Empress, a 48,000 ton Royal Caribbean ship. At that size, the Nordic was about half the size of the other ships in their fleet. Our vacation was wonderful, but we quickly found there was not a lot to see on the ship.

On the other end of the spectrum we have cruised on some of the larger 150,000 ton ships --- and let me tell you, they are BIG!  Because of their size they offer lots of attractions. There are usually several pools, rock climbing walls, basketball courts, tennis courts, miniature golf, ice skating arenas, etc.

If you have young people with you these attractions are wonderful, and you will get a full report from your kids on every one of them. But if you are on vacation to simply relax and lay by the pool, then a ship this size may be too big.

Another disadvantage of a really large ship is the distance you will have to walk to get places.

For instance, if your cabin is on the 3rd deck in the forward part of the ship, and the pool is on the 14th deck in the aft part of the ship, you have a very long walk if you forgot your sunscreen. Remember, the larger ships are the length of several football fields! That is one reason many seasoned cruisers will pay a little more for a cabin that is in the middle of the ship.

We have found that the perfect sized ship is about 90,000 tons. One of our favorite cruises  was on the Radiance of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean ship.  We also thoroughly enjoyed sailing on the Grand Princess, a Princess Cruise Lines ship.  Both were about the same size and were perfect for a wonderful cruise. The ships felt more intimate, yet there was plenty of things to do.

Cruise lines offer different type of dining arrangements. We enjoy having the same table partners and the same wait staff for each meal, so we normally choose a ship that offers traditional dinner seating. Many ships today offer open seating at meals. If you choose open seating you may sit with just your companions and will not have a preset time for dinner.

There are lots of things to consider when choosing a cruise ship for your vacation. I hope some of these tips help!

good bye :)

12 Flying Tips For The Disabled .

We all love to go on holiday, especially when we are going abroad, but for some people flying can be very problematic. If you suffer from a disability then you need to put a few more plans in place than an able bodied person. For a lot of people with a disability long haul traveling can quickly become a nightmare, especially if you haven’t prepared correctly, so below you will find a few tips that should help you get your holiday off to a good start.

12 Flying Tips For The Disabled

Preparation

•    Make sure you have enough of your medication to last for the holiday plus an extra week.

•    Always put your medicine in your hand luggage never let it go in the hold.

•    In some countries in the Middle East and Asia medications that may be legal in the USA and Europe may not be legal there so check online.

•    Some countries require you to carry a doctor’s letter confirming your medications, again you will need to check online with the countries medical requirements.

•    Make sure you have let the airline know you are disabled and that you will require a wheelchair or other assistance, you should do this when you book. If you haven’t then phone them as soon as you can and they will make a note of it for you.

•    Also, when you book, order a ‘special meal’ as this will mean you get your food before everyone else, and therefore finish first giving you easier access to the toilets, otherwise you get big queues after the food has been served.

Comfy Flight

•    Your holiday starts as soon as you leave for the airport and if you are disabled and have an early AM flight then this can cause problems, especially with people who need time for medication to work and joints to ease up. It is much better if you stay in the airport hotel overnight, that way you get longer in bed and it only takes a few minutes to get to the check-in, and you will arrive much more relaxed.

•    Make sure at the check-in they order your wheelchair, or call for assistance to help you, this is free in the majority of airports.

•    You should arrive at your gate with plenty of time to spare, so if the assistant has left you at a coffee shop in the airport, do not fret they have not forgotten you.

•    Once at the gate the elderly, disabled, and those with kids are allowed to board first.

•    When the doors are closed, if the flight is not full and you see better seats, call for a flight attendant and ask if you can move, in most cases they will say yes.

•    If you need to change flights, an assistant will be there to help you, but you do need to wait for everyone else to leave the plane.

Remember that flying can be a pain in the backside for able bodied people, but if you follow these tips then at least you will be a lot more relaxed and comfortable for the flight.

Hope that be useful , Hope you happy :)

5 Tips For Traveling With Children .

Family vacations are special times of the year, but they can be very challenging for parents get through. Air travel is especially difficult and can be the cause of significant levels of stress for the entire family. Unfortunately for many types of vacation there is no way around going through an airport and flying by private jet is beyond most of our wildest dreams.

travelere.blogspot.com

However, there are a couple of things that you can do to
make the airport experience less stressful and not be a cause of arguments. The following points are very simple to plan for and will not result in significant increases in costs. Ultimately the trade-off will be a much happier day of traveling.

1) Book Your Seats In Advance

To avoid being separated in different rows and even parts of the plane you should always pre-book your seats. While young babies up to the age of 2 usually are seated on a parent’s lap, this is not the case with children over 2. If you are delayed in any way on your way to the airport you will not be guaranteed seats together, so make sure you plan for this in advance.

2) Allow For Extra Time

Whether you are traveling with a baby or trying to deal with teenagers you will have to allow for additional time at the airport. Passing through security will take longer the more people you are travelling with and with heightened security procedures this can take several hours. The last thing you want to happen is to end up running to your departure gate only to be told that you have missed a flight.

3) Book Into An Airport Lounge

Especially when travelling with small children it is a lot easier to deal with an airport in one of the lounges. Most people do not know that you do not have to be travelling business class to get access to a lounge. The advantages are that for a relatively small fee you will have a closed off, quiet environment. Snacks and refreshments are also available, and many lounges have small play areas and other kid’s entertainment.

4) Have Small Surprises For The Flight

No matter how old your kids are, they will enjoy receiving a small gift. For a young child this can be as simple as a new book or pens to do some drawing. Dependent on the age the attention span will differ, so you may need to bring along a few small surprises. For older children you may need to spend a little more, e.g. on new games for a portable console or download some new music tracks ahead of time to listen to.

5) Do Not Rush Off The Plane

When is the last time you got to the luggage belt to find that you suitcase is already there? For most people this will never have happened, so when the airplane arrives at the gate, just stay seated and wait for everyone else to push and shove their way off. Especially with young children it is not necessary to be part of that hassle of being first off the plane.

Hope that be useful  :)
