Take A Trip To Panama

Take A Trip To Panama

Do you like to travel? Traveling can be a fun and exciting hobby that broadens your knowledge and understanding of the world like no other. You have the opportunity to meet new people, observe different cultures, and try delicious new foods. The country of Panama is no exception.

Panama Canal
Take A Trip To Panama

Panama has much to offer for those looking to explore new horizons. The first and foremost attraction Panama has to offer is the Panama Canal. This fascinating tourist attraction brings people from all over the world to see this wonder in action. You can actually watch giant ships pass through the canal and learn all about the history of this modern marvel.

The Causeway Amador
Take A Trip To Panama

While in Panama City itself, you can also visit the Causeway Amador. If you drive the length of this stretch, you will find many shops selling the ever-famous made-in-Ecuador "Panama Hat" at bargain prices. Or you can buy other native Guna-made artisan products for your home.

the Chiriqui Highlands
Take A Trip To Panama

If you find the heat in Panama City to be unbearable, make your way on up to the Chiriqui Highlands for an altogether different experience. There are several beautiful and bustling towns nestled in the mountains of the Chiriqui province. Many of these places boast a sizable population of ex-patriots, so you will find many places that cater to the American way of living.

 Boquete and Volcan
Take A Trip To Panama

Two of the most popular stops are Boquete and volcan . Both of these towns average temperatures in the 60's and 70's. Boquete even has a library with hundreds of books in both Spanish and English.  It also hosts an annual Fair of Flowers and Coffee in January. This fair showcases hundreds of varieties of Panama's most beautiful flowers. Plus, many local coffee companies turn out so you can sample their coffee. Be sure to get a frozen strawberry treat made from strawberries grown in nearby Cerro Punta.

Take A Trip To Panama

Volcan is aptly named for its biggest tourist attraction: "Volcan Baru"  I talked about it earlier , Volcan Baru is is a dormant volcano which also happens to be the highest point in Panama. Hundreds of people a year climb this volcano, although the best month to climb it is in February. This is because other months are too wet and dangerous to climb to the top of the 11,398 feet (3,474 meters) peak.

Take A Trip To Panama

If you choose to make this exciting trip, there are two sides to climb up from. One is in Volcan and the other is from Boquete. The Volcan side is small trails through the forests of the mountain. This is a grueling 8 hour trek. If you want to take it a little easier, you can pay to go up most of the Boquete side in a vehicle. Either way, you must be prepared with plenty of water for the trip and if you are staying over night, a tent and lots of warm clothes. It is literally freezing on the top of the volcano.

As you can see, Panama is a great choice for anyone looking for a fabulous vacation.

Places To Visit Around Las Vegas

We all love to go on holiday, and one place that is a big favorite for many people around the world is Las Vegas, Nevada. Whether people are going for a short weekend, a week, or for a wedding ceremony, the bright lights in the desert and the casinos are a major attraction. Getting to Las Vegas these days is easy as flights arrive from all over the world, from a country like the UK you can be in Vegas within 10 hours from take-off to landing.

Places To Visit Around Las Vegas

With so much to do in ( Las Vegas itself ) I talked about it earlier, not many people tend to visit the surrounding areas, but if you are there for a week or more it is highly recommended that you hire a car and take a drive to a few of the outstanding features in the area. Below is a list of must visit places if you do hire a car.

Places To Visit Around Las Vegas

Valley Of Fire
Places To Visit Around Las Vegas

This is about an hour’s drive from Vegas and is an area of outstanding beauty. It costs a few dollars to enter the location but this money is used to keep the roads in good condition. The geology of this place is absolutely amazing, and the colors range from dark reds and browns, to light yellow. Some of the rock formations make excellent pictures for your photo album.

Hoover Dam
Places To Visit Around Las Vegas

This amazing piece of human engineering is world famous and with the opening of the new bridge across the Colorado you can now get pictures of it that used to be only possible from a helicopter. Parking is very easy, use the multi-story on the Nevada side, or the open parking on the Arizona side. You can clearly see from the dam itself how much the levels of Lake Mead have dropped this century.

Mt Charleston
Places To Visit Around Las Vegas

This is a beautiful sight from the valley that contains Las Vegas, and is usually snowcapped for about 6 months of the year. You can spend a few hours getting a tan next to a pool in Vegas and then later in the day drive up Mt Charleston and go skiing, now there are not many places that you can do that. It also means that your kids can finish off a fun day in Vegas with a snowball fight.

Death Valley
Places To Visit Around Las Vegas

Although this is a couple of hours drive from Vegas it is well worth a visit. The area can easily reach 120F in the summer months, but due to the low humidity it feels a lot lower, so make sure you keep drinking water if you go for a walk. There is so much to see in this area you need to spend the whole day here, form the Devil’s Golf Course to Badwater, which is below sea level.

Las Vegas is an amazing place to visit and it has so much to do that you are never there long enough, but hiring a car will give you access to many places that the average tourist never gets to see.

Thank you .

Pros And Cons Of Solo Traveling

Pros And Cons Of Solo Traveling

Many women fear traveling without a partner because of the potential dangers they might expose themselves to. Although there is a bit of truth in this, solo traveling is usually pretty safe if you don't do foolish things.

Pros And Cons Of Solo Traveling

The best part of traveling by yourself is that You are the only decision maker. You can visit whatever you want, you can stop if you get tired, you can eat when you want to or you can skip meals for a whole day if so you wish. When traveling with a partner, both of you need to compromise a little, in order to make the most out of your trip.

Pros And Cons Of Solo Traveling

Another advantage is that you meet more people when you travel by yourself. This is normal, if you think about it for a moment. If you don't have a partner to talk to, you'll feel more inclined to start conversations with local people or with other travelers. Being by yourself, it would be more cost effective to book a bed in a hostel room, rather than pay the price of a hotel room for just one person. Sleeping in hostels facilitates meeting new people and perhaps making new friends.

We've seen the bright side, but what about the dark side of solo traveling? How dangerous it really is? We are talking about girls traveling alone, because they are most exposed than boys for reasons easy to understand.

Pros And Cons Of Solo Traveling

Even if she travels alone, a girl still needs food and some entertainment. Going out for dinner and maybe to a club afterwards exposes her to men who might want to flirt with her. While this can be fun as long as it stays innocent, things can easily get serious and the girl might find herself in trouble. This is why you should be very careful who you talk to and most important what you say. Dress yourself in a more conservative fashion and never agree to go with anybody in private places. Always stay in public and you'll be safe. Some ladies wear a wedding ring even if they are single, in order to create the illusion that they might be on vacation with their husband who happens to be elsewhere that moment.

When traveling solo, one may feel a bit lonely at times, because there isn't anybody else to share impressions with. This is our human nature: we like to share good and bad things, we like to enjoy life together, tell jokes and have fun. If you're the lonely type of person, you might find it hard to make friends on the road, so you might get homesick after a while.

Accommodation is an issue for solo travelers. The price difference between a single and a double room is very small, therefore it is more cost effective when two people share one room. However, if you either don't mind paying the price or you don't mind staying at hostels, you'll be fine.

If you feel lonely on the road, start a travel blog and share your photos and stories with the world. It is a great motivation factor and it may lead to new adventures and to meeting cool people who can become your friends.

Explore The World On Your Own Terms

The ever increasing number of people who today have access to airline travel has put the great cities of the world within reach of more people than ever before. The increasing number of low cost airlines mean that competition is driving down prices and great deals place less of a strain on the pocketbook than has ever been the case.

Explore The World On Your Own Terms

If you're going to make use of a low cost airline or one of the many ultra cheap specials that are available you're probably not going to get a great meal or free flowing drinks on demand, but the positive is that you'll be able to get to your destination with enough cash on hand to really treat yourself.

If you want to expand your horizons which cities would make the best destination for someone who is new to the idea of intercontinental travel? That would all depend on the individual. If your interests are in exploring different cultures out of the mainstream then more exotic destinations should be in the itinerary.

Places like capital cities in Africa and Asia offer great bases for exploring the regional cultures, sights and sounds of the the less well known destinations. Try Mombasa, or even Bangkok and get your bearings, before setting off into the sunset away from the busy tourist spots.

For those who want to immerse themselves in something different and leave these capital cities behind there is probably no better way to get to know the locals than using public transportation. Sitting in a bus will give you a unique perspective on what makes a country tick.

By doing this you will expose yourself to the same foods and pastimes that are enjoyed by the locals. It's easy enough to check yourself into a resort, but by getting to know ordinary people you're going to make memories that will last a lifetime.

You'll be surprised how friendly locals can be when they see that you are willing to share a bit of discomfort to get to your destinations. It is not unusual to be invited to share a meal or a cold drink. If you really want to make a good impression then learn a few simple phrases in local dialects, your pronunciation may not always be great, but its certainly an ice breaker.

Travel is a great way to expand the mind and broaden your horizons, but remember to take a few common sense precautions. By doing some simple preparation you can make your journey that much more enjoyable. Simple things like carrying some medication to treat an upset stomach, or even simple sticking plaster can make the difference between a miserable time, and fabulous memories that will be with you for the rest of your life.

For those with a thirst for adventure now is the best time to shrug off the worries of home and take to the path less traveled. You'll regret not seizing the opportunity to expand your mind and build a library of new experiences.

Thanks for your visit  ^_^

Making Travel More Enjoyable

While most of us enjoy arriving at our holiday destination, the preparations and journey can be incredibly stressful. Before you even begin to plan your next holiday, take a deep breath and remember that holidays are meant to be fun and relaxing.
Making Travel More Enjoyable
Being in control of any situation can help alleviate stress. Control is gained by having the knowledge and the tools to cope with any situation you may be confronted with. So from the moment you begin thinking about your next holiday, start a travel journal.

You can choose to start an electronic journal or hand written journal. Keep in mind that things can go wrong with electronics so keep a printed version of your travel plans.

Begin by listing three desirable travel destinations. Keeping your list short will help you filter it down to one destination easily. Find out everything you can about traveling to the destination and not just about the destination itself.

What modes of transport are available? How long will each different type of travel take to reach your destination? Will you be crossing borders and if so will you need visas and is your passport in order?

Once you have narrowed it down to one destination it is time to consider what you need to take along. Take into consideration the climate and weather conditions at the time you will be travelling. Will you be travelling from a cold to warm climate or vice versa?

Make a list of the clothing items that you will need to take along. Now make a list of cosmetics, toiletries, etc. that you feel you may need. Lastly make a third list of all the essentials that are not covered by your first to lists.

A week before you starting packing for your destination, take another look at your lists and eliminate any items that you feel may be extraneous. The less baggage you take along on your journey, the less stressed you will be.

Leave any expensive or irreplaceable articles at home. This will minimize the amount of time you spend worrying about losing the items or them being stolen.

Make your travel arrangements well in advance. It may be more cost effective to book your own transport and accommodation but consider how complicated your holiday will be. If you are travelling to one destination, staying in one place and then returning home, you should definitely be able to manage the arrangements with minimal stress.

Alternatively, find a reliable travel agent to assist. Make notes in your travel journal of all the reservations your travel agent makes on your behalf and when the stress and worry starts to set in, give them a call to get the reassurance that everything will run smoothly.

Using a travel agent gives you the added advantage of having recourse if anything does go wrong on your journey. You can simply blame them for the mess and sit back and relax while they fix the problems.

Get to your destination as relaxed as possible and ensure that you return home with good memories of a great holiday.

Places To Visit In Peru

Sooner or later, anyone who wants to be called a world traveler must visit Peru in order to be worthy of such a lofty title. For many, Peru conjures up images of hidden ancient ruins, breathtaking mountain views, and secluded jungle villages. Peru is all this and much more! While visiting other countries in South America is always appealing, a traveler could easily stay within this single country and never see all there is to see. What are some places to visit in Peru?

Places To Visit In Peru

Almost all travelers to Peru start in Lima. This capital city of Peru is home to the Jorge Chavez International Airport. While some find the city to be very dusty and dirty, there is much to do here and the weather won't interfere with your plans since it never rains in Lima.

Places To Visit In Peru

Don't miss the Magic Water Tour- a park of beautiful water fountains located in downtown Lima. Boasting 13 fountains, the Magic Water Tour holds the world record for being the largest fountain complex in the world. Many of these fountains are interactive and very fun for young and old alike. There is a tunnel of water which you can pass through. There is also an automated walk-thru fountain that many children in raincoats frequent. Be sure to go at night to see the fantastic light shows that are put on several times a night.

Places To Visit In Peru

For those who like winter sports, a trip north to the city of Huaraz would be most rewarding. This city sits at an elevation of 10,013 feet in the mountains of the Cordillera Blanca. It is home to Huascarán, a snowy mountain considered to be the highest in all the tropics, peaking at 22,205 feet. Popular winter sports to experience here are climbing, snowboarding, and hiking. This truly is a beautiful area of Peru.

Places To Visit In Peru

If you are into shopping for locally made earrings and hand-woven purses, Cajamarca is the place to visit. For those who suffer from altitude sickness, Cajamarca rests at a more reasonable 8,900 feet above sea level. Surrounding the hill of Santa Apolonia in Cajamarca, you will be able to buy beautiful multi-colored purses for as little as $2.50. If you are looking for nice but inexpensive souvenirs, Cajamarca is the place to visit.

Places To Visit In Peru

Close by Cajamarca are the ancient ruins of Cumbe Mayo. These ruins are not as frequently visited by tourists as many of the others in Peru, but they are truly fascinating. The landscape is other-worldly and like no other. Archaeologists still don't completely understand the ancient civilization that lived among these ruins.

Places To Visit In Peru

Finally , no trip to Peru is complete without visiting its greatest tourist attraction: Machu Picchu . It is often called "The Lost City of the Incas." This wonder of the modern world was truly one of the most interesting discoveries of the 20th Century. With nearly 2,500 tourists visiting Machu Picchu every day, you don't want to miss seeing this place. These are just a few places to visit in Peru.

May you find it enjoyable :)

How You Can Successfully Travel With Young Children ( Important )

For some parents, having to travel with children can be a nightmare. Whether you’re driving two hours away to visit relatives or flying across the country for vacation, many people worry about how their children will do during the travel. When you need to make a trip with younger children, it’s a great idea to plan out some items or activities that can keep your children entertained.

travelere.blogspot.com

Anytime that you plan to travel with children, you should create a list of the essential items that you’ll need to bring. This can include diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifiers, food, and drinks. Depending on the age of your children, you should also plan to make frequent stops at restrooms so that you can avoid having any accidents during your travels. Make sure that you bring a change of clothes for each child that could have an accident. If your children are at the age where they are potty training, pull ups can be a great idea for long trips. They can be pulled down similar to underwear when they are at a restroom, and could keep your child clean in the event that they do have an accident.

Now that you’ve gotten the essentials down, it’s important to pack items that your children can play with to keep themselves entertained. Most children won’t want to just sit quietly for hours at a time, so it’s vital to have something for them to do. A few good items that you could pack are books, coloring books and crayons, toys, and handheld gaming consoles. If you’re going to allow your children to color, it may be a good idea to sit in the back with them to avoid any unwanted crayon marks on your car. If your children are old enough, handheld gaming consoles or readers are a great option to entertain an older child. They can read downloaded books and play games.

If you need to fly with children, take advantage of the activities that they offer. If they have a DVD player that has a children’s movie, use that to keep your children entertained. Many people don’t like for their kids to watch a lot of TV, but if you need to choose between a screaming child and a quiet one, the TV may not be so bad after all. If you’re traveling by car, you can also play games with your children. You can have your children read license plates, tell you the color of cars, or practice learning age appropriate things, such as letters and numbers.

Traveling with children can seem scary if you’ve never done it before. The key to a good trip is to make sure that you’re well planned for it. If you plan out your activities and things to bring, you’ll find that your trip will go much more smoothly. You shouldn't be in a situation where your child is screaming and everyone is staring at you. If all else fails, bring a few pieces of candy. Good luck on your travels!

good bye :)

Chicago is a Hockey Town

Hello again ,

Chicago is a Hockey Town

Why would anyone in their right minds want to travel to Chicago U.S.A.? What does the city and Chicago tourism have to offer? Unless you want to fly a kite in what is known as the "Windy City"... why would you want to go there? Do they have any famous theme parks, world class ski destinations, or interesting historical excursions? What is so great about visiting Chicago?

The answer to those questions are all contained in the words "The Chicago Blackhawks". Chicago tourism should realize that the hockey team known as the Chicago Blackhawks is the only reason for anyone to travel to such a destination. The team has such a rich history in the sport of hockey and recently they have been playing like the true champions that their history requires.

Yes, they are on top of their game. With a recent Stanley Cup to show for their efforts and a first place lead this year... they are an exciting young team to follow. However, things have not always been so positive for the team. They have had many years of disappointment and lack-luster efforts.

One of the benefits of having poor performance years in a row is that you are eligible to receive high draft picks. Not all teams however, have the ability to turn those high picks into quality players. Not so with the Chicago Blackhawks. Many sub par years produced excellent prospects that have turned out to be top-notch, skilled players. This my friend, is one of the secrets to success in the National Hockey League.

True, there are other successful teams that have gone this route. Pittsburgh Penguins are such a team. There are however, many teams that just keep struggling and performing bad only to draft their picks also very poorly. The Calgary Flames are a recent example. They continue to disappoint their fans with uninspired and sloppy play.

Chicago does have a history of other successful sporting teams. The Chicago Bears and the Chicago Bulls both have had their glory days. The Chicago Cubs on the other hand have been a disappointment for decades. Their fans continue to hope and wait and hope and wait. The Cubs team in Chicago though, is the exception rather than the rule.

You may find it strange that someone would only want to visit a city because of a hockey team. But is that really so abnormal? Many sporting fans from many countries are enamored with only just that. They save their hard earned dollars so as to take a vacation following their favorite team. It allows them to spend some time away from the pressures and anxieties of their everyday mundane existence.

So if I were to visit a website for Chicago Tourism would I find as an attraction, tickets to the Chicago Blackhawk's games. If it was available, then I would surly purchase those tickets and I would pack my bags and take a trip to the "Windy City". Not to be cruel but, besides that... what else does the city really have to offer?

keep smiling :)

Climbing Volcan Baru - panama

 Volcan Baru

Chicago is a Hockey Town

This past February, I climbed to the highest point in Panama. This peak is found at 11,398 feet above sea level atop a dormant volcano called Volcan Baru. It was the most grueling and challenging thing I have ever done in my life. It taxed every once of my body and mind. I don't know that I will ever do it again, but I am definitely glad that I did it. It is possibly a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

A group of about 20 of us set out around 5AM from Rio Sereno, a small town on the Costa Rican border. My husband and I ate a hearty breakfast of eggs, toast, oatmeal, and coffee since we knew that was the last full meal we would have for at least 38 hours.

I made the mistake of drinking a big glass of water right before we left knowing that our water would also be rationed during this time. I suppose drinking the water wasn't really the mistake; not going to the bathroom right before I left was. As you can guess, I had to go to the bathroom so badly that we had to stop the van so I could get out. Fortunately, there was not much oncoming traffic, it was still before sunrise, and I found a tree to go behind. That was not the way I wanted to start out this trip.

After a last-minute stop at Romero's (the only nice grocery store for miles around), we finally made it to the drop-off point, where we started the long descent up the volcano. The first hour was a pleasant one through a beautiful green forest of large trees and strange-growing mushrooms. Then, the terrain changed into more of a hands-on climbing up the trail. It was extremely dusty at one point and we all got very dirty.

One of the hardest terrain types to climb were the white lightning rocks. (That is just what I call them. It is hard to describe them. They act sort of like a quick sand that your feet get buried in, but it is composed of baseball and softball sized rocks.) Actually, these were worse coming down the mountain, although my husband rather enjoyed "skating" down them. I was afraid I would break something.

We finally made it to the base camp around 4:30 PM. We brought tents and sleeping bags to sleep in in the crater of the volcano. It was very windy and very cold. We built a fire and sat around it singing and telling stories as we drank hot chocolate. My husband and I slept for a little while, but soon we were shivering ourselves awake, so we got up and sat around the fire.

Early the next morning, we made the final climb to the very top of Panama, where you can see the Pacific on one side and the Atlantic on the other. It felt pretty amazing to have accomplished that- to be on top of the Panamanian world.

How To Avoid Forgetting Things When Traveling

Have you ever left to go on a trip only to realize you’ve left important things at home? Forgetting to pack items is a very common problem with people who travel. It’s very easy to overlook items that you had planned to take with you. To avoid having to buy new items while you’re traveling, continue reading to find out the best way to remember everything that you’ll need.

How To Avoid Forgetting Things When Traveling

When you have a trip coming up, you should always start planning early. Start creating a list of all of the items that you may need on your trip. You list should include the clothing that you’ll need for the whole trip, personal hygiene products, chargers for any electronic devices that you’re taking, medications, and any other items that you need on a daily basis. When you start creating your list early, it will give you a better chance of thinking of items that you may need as your trip gets closer. If you don’t create a list, or don’t start planning early, you may end up leaving your home without many of the items that you’re going to need.

When you are packing your items, try to keep it as organized as possible. Go through the list of things that you’ll need and mark each item off once it’s been packed. If you have multiple cords or chargers that you need to take, you could put each one in a zip-lock bag that you can write on. This can allow you to easily find the charger when you need it. Instead of taking full bottles of liquids, such as shampoo or body wash, try to find travel or trial sized containers. You can either buy the filled containers, or just find small containers that you can fill yourself.

When you’re leaving the hotel room, you’ll need to go through your list of items again. Once you leave a hotel and go home, it can be hard to get any items that you may have left behind. Make sure that you’ve gathered up all chargers as these are frequently forgotten about. Do a double check in the bathroom to make sure that you’ve gotten all jewelry, personal hygiene products, such as toothbrushes, and any clothes that you may have in there. Check around the room to ensure that you have grabbed all of the important things that you will need. This may include ID’s, passports, room keys, wallets, purses, and cash that you may have lying around. Right before you leave your room, double check your list again to ensure that you’ve gotten everything that you brought with you.

Having a great list of items can be the difference between whether you forget items during your trip. When you have a list, you’ll be less likely to forget any of the items that you’re supposed to be bringing with you. Your trip will go quite smoothly if you don’t have to rush around to purchase any items that you have accidentally forgotten.

good bye :)

Baby Boomers Taveling the World

Baby boomers love to travel.  Even with some pundits saying that the Baby Boomer generation isn’t prepared for their retirement, isn’t saving enough, is having to work longer than expected, and many other somewhat depressing headlines, in January of this year, the U.S. Travel Association reported that Boomers make up thirty-six percent of all leisure travelers and thirty-eight percent of all business travelers every year.  So it would appear that the Baby Boomers still manage to finance their travel even if they may not be able to finance their eventual retirement.

Anytime a group of Baby Boomers get together, the conversation inevitably turns to travel – who’s been where lately, which cruise line has the best buffet, and where the best golf course are.  There are even conversations about zip lining and skydiving and where to rent or buy the latest in scuba gear.  If there is a favorite travel pastime among the Baby Boomer travel set, it is probably cruising.  They love taking the scenic tours to the Panama Canal, the Mediterranean, Italy and Greece.  Even Alaska and whale watching are extremely popular with these intrepid travelers.

Baby Boomers seem to just have a passion for the exotic when it comes to traveling, with almost sixty percent of all Boomers having their passport waiting and ready so they can leave at a moment’s notice.  There are seven current trends in Boomer travel that are pretty popular right now:

•    Eco-tourism – these green trips are targeted to Baby Boomers with a love for the environment.   These trips include hiking, bird watching, nature walks, observing waterfalls, and whale watching and counting.  Many Baby Boomers care about world sustainability and protecting the environment and endangered species.  By 2020, more than 1.6 billion trips are predicted to take place by the UN World Tourism Organization.

•    Adventure Travel – this category of travel is quickly growing and is predicted to continue this scale of growth for the foreseeable future.  Adventure travel includes sky diving, snorkeling, cycling, skiing, hiking, and scuba diving.  The feeling behind the rise in Baby Boomer activity in this travel category is that Baby Boomers have spent their lifetime watching others participate in these activities and now they want their turn.

•    Religion – Baby Boomers travel extensively for religious reasons each year.  Over 900,000 visit destinations with holy significance all over the world including the Holy Land, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Italy, France, and Portugal.  Almost 90% of these Baby Boomer travelers are Christians.

•    Culinary Cruises – Baby Boomers not only love to cruise, they love to eat and drink while they’re cruising.  This is a growing market which started with five years ago and now is provided by many cruise lines.

•    Destination Weddings – Baby Boomers are getting remarried or married for the first time and like to do it in exotic places with spectacular venues.

•    Multi-Generational or Family Trips – Baby Boomers aren’t very different from other generations of grandparents, they love their grandkids and enjoy traveling with them.  These trips are most often arranged around family milestones such as a birthday, a graduation or anniversary.  The difference between today’s Boomer grandparents and those of previous generations is that today the trip is more likely to be to Europe than to Disneyworld, because the Baby Boomer grandparents are veteran travelers themselves.

•    Medical Tourism – Baby Boomers are more than willing to travel to find the healthcare they need, especially cosmetic surgery and some of the surgeries which are more expensive in the United States such as organ transplants.

Baby Boomer travel is a significant part of the United States and the international travel industry and as more and more Baby Boomers retire from their working lives, this number will continue to grow.
